About Us

Kuywee Interhealth Centre (KIC)

KIC’s mission is to improve access to quality primary healthcare services in this remote part of Agago District and surrounding areas. It opened its doors to patients in October 2019 and serves Kuywee trading centre and nearby villages with first-line primary care, pharmacy services, laboratory facilities and admissions capacity.

Our objectives

• Reduce preventable mortality by improving access to quality health care.
• Strengthen the knowledge, skills and resources of communities and local health actors.
• Support disease prevention, maternal and child health, STI/HIV services and palliative care.
• Support government and WHO health policies with relevant information and community action.
• Improve care for common illness, non-communicable diseases and injuries.
• Provide public-health education and promote sanitation and hygiene.
• Train village health teams and involve communities in health decision-making.
• Build alliances with other teams and organisations to create sustainable results.
